Just now I felt a glimmer
Of a memory on my lips
Triggered by the minty gum
You used to chew
It was as real as the day we met
But it passed as fleetingly
As our lingering love affair
Just a glimmer of happiness
I felt chewing my gum
Listening to sad lullabies
You used to sing me
Simply just a glimmer of
What we used to be.
